Daily Thoughts - July 18, 2011

So, today was a great day. Boo, Button & I relaxed around the casa watching television and just being lazy until about four this afternoon. We headed to the pool to enjoy a good cool down session and some awesome family time. I’m enjoying the time I have had off and the fun I’ve had with the people that mean the most to me.

   The Foo Fighters have a song that says it all - “It’s Times Like These” that you learn to live again. That is my goal and I will stop at nothing to make sure it happens.

   I have been stressed for several months, with a corporate world job that kept me on the road and away from Family and friends. I worked my ass off and made the corporate giant shit loads of money, but it wasn’t good enough. It made me the type of person that I never wanted to be. Yeah I got a free trip to Cabo San Lucas for the accompolishments I made in 2008 and I made great money, but I learned no matter how good you were it was always about “what have you done for me today?” All of the hard work and being away from the ones I loved did not mean shit to the deathstar, and they fired me on July 8, 2011. That is when I felt a relief and all of the pressure was gone… The pressure of constant travel, meeting customers to persuade them to buy a dying advertising medium, meeting daily, weekly, monthly and quaterly objectives, and keeping customers happy because of post sales screw-ups. 

   With all that said I look at the pictures below and know I am learning to live again.  To live a life that will be full of fun and happiness.
